Plan your trip to the Civitavecchia Port
A practical guide for those wishing to reach the Port of Civitavecchia and embark on the next cruise ship or ferry. How to get the Port of Rome? What kind of transportations to take? What are the airports and stations connected with the port?
First of all it is good to know, access to Rome Cruise Terminal is only permitted by:
- Port mobility shuttles that leave from the Largo della Pace
- or from the parkings;
or from the taxi service authorized by the Civitavecchia Port Authority.
The shuttle service inside the Port of Civitavecchia to the cruise terminal is totally free.
Obviously when there are many cruise ships in the port, they may experience delays and slowdowns. If you are boarding from the Pier 25 South (on the opposite side of the harbor, the ferry side), the shuttle service does not include stops, while the rest of the docks, from July 2015, will provide intermediate stops.
The exact address of the port of Civitavecchia is the “Prato del Turco, 00053 Civitavecchia”. Actually the port contains no streets and roads officially specified in its interior.
